Our Story

Celebrating 72 years of Woodland Bible Camp!

OUR MISSION

The mission of Woodland Bible Camp is to teach and equip individuals with God’s Word, the Bible, in meaningful and practical ways to improve their lives.

CAMPERS OF ALL AGES

We invite campers of all ages to experience a time to get away from the busyness of everyday life, take a break from the news and stresses of the day, and give social media a rest in order to renew and make new friendships, relax and enjoy a variety of activities in a beautiful and serene setting with a focus on learning from God’s Word, the Bible.

MANY CHANGES SINCE 1954

While almost every aspect of life has changed since Woodland began as a day camp in July 1954 at the Linton City Park, the camp’s purpose to teach and equip individuals with God’s Word has remained our focus.

31 WOODED ACRES ACQUIRED

In 1959, 31 acres of wooded land between Linton and Dugger were purchased. Many dedicated volunteers joined together to develop the property in order for day camps to start in 1960 and then overnight camps by 1965.

1000S OF OVERNIGHT CAMPERS SINCE 1965

Over the years, thousands of campers have enjoyed attending and serving at Woodland.
